Registered Nurse

  • Active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurse of Manitoba, or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or eligible for active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM), or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM)
  • 2-year minimum Nursing experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training 
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Satisfactory criminal record check (with vulnerable sector screening), 
  • Adult abuse and Child abuse registry checks prior to commencing employment
  • Immunization Record
  • N95 Mask Fit Test Certification
  • Knowledge, competence and ability to demonstrate clinical nursing skills and concepts in accordance with practice and nursing standards
  • Basic knowledge and skills to work with computers, and electronic software programs
  • Experience in geriatrics and dementia care preferred
  • Ability to make effective decisions regarding nursing care
  • Demonstrated effective problem solving, organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and clients

Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), or eligible for active practicing licensure with the (CLPNM).
  • 2-year minimum Nursing experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Satisfactory criminal record check (with vulnerable sector screening)
  • Adult abuse and child abuse registry checks 
  • Immunization Record
  • N95 Mask Fit Test Certification

Health Care Aide

  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized Educational Institute
  • 2-year minimum Health Care Aide experience
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Satisfactory criminal record check (with vulnerable sector screening), 
  • Adult abuse and Child abuse registry checks 
  • Immunization Record
  • N95 Mask Fit Test Certification
  • Demonstrates understanding of the role of the Health Care Aide within a health care setting.
  • Knowledge of the techniques and procedures of patient/resident care related to activities of daily living
  • Knowledge of safe patient handling techniques
  • Knowledge of Violence Prevention Program training and processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Resident Bill of Rights
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills through clear communication and positive behavior within the Respectful Workplace Policy
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
